Mental Health  Resources and Library

The Counseling Center is here to help. We are open to all UMB students, regardless of insurance coverage. To make an appointment please call (617) 287-5690.

We also offer anonymous and confidential on-line screenings through Screening for Mental Health, Inc.  To access the screening program please click here.

Massachusetts Suicide Prevention Resource Guide: This Guide contains national, state and local information on suicide prevention resources which include: understanding suicide, state prevention plans, education and training programs, hotlines, crisis lines, mental health providers and much more.

The Boston Resource Center offers brochures, books, audio, and videotapes, professional articles, and friendly help from people who have faced psychiatric conditions themselves (or as family members/close friends).

Crisis Lines/Hot Lines: These services are generally toll-free, confidential phone lines which people can call 24/7 to speak to staff and /or trained volunteers in a time of crisis for support and advice. The services may include risk assessment, intervention, screening and referrals.

ULifeline is an ANONYMOUS online resource where you can learn more about emotional health and ways to help yourself or a friend if you are struggling with your thoughts or feelings.
