Massachusetts Suicide Prevention Resource Guide:
This Guide contains national, state and local
information on suicide prevention resources which
include: understanding suicide, state prevention plans,
education and training programs, hotlines, crisis lines,
mental health providers and much more.
The Boston Resource Center offers brochures, books,
audio, and videotapes, professional articles, and
friendly help from people who have faced psychiatric
conditions themselves (or as family members/close
friends).
Crisis Lines/Hot Lines: These services are generally
toll-free, confidential phone lines which people can
call 24/7 to speak to staff and /or trained volunteers
in a time of crisis for support and advice. The services
may include risk assessment, intervention, screening and
referrals.
